  • LEAGUE RULES
The League will be played on the ESPN Fantasy Football Platform The League will consist of 10 teams split into two divisions (East and West) with 5 teams in each division Expansion of the League will be considered at the end of each season if requested Each team will have at least 1, but no more than 2 owners The fantasy season will be the first 17 weeks of the 18 week NFL Season The regular season will be Weeks 1-14 The postseason will be Weeks 15-17 Yearly scheduled matchups In Week 1 of each season, the previous season's Super Bowl matchup and Sacko Series matchup will be played Week 14 will be Rivalry Week where each team plays their arch-nemesis Trades In-Season Trading Player trading All trades that do not show collusion are approved Uneven trades (2 for 1, etc.) is allowed FAAB trading At least one player must be included on each side of a trade when FAAB is included You cannot trade FAAB for FAAB...which would kinda be dumb anyway...we don't have a conversion rate for FAAB... The trade deadline will be the Wednesday after the completion of all Week 12 NFL games In-Draft Draft pick trading Any amount of players or draft picks can be included in a transaction, including unequal trades Because roster size is limited, in the event of an unequal trade, the team receiving over the allotted roster size will need to drop one player in a post-draft transaction. In order to keep the draft fair for others, the team exceeding roster size in the transaction is required to select a player who is deemed undraftable (including but not limited to NFL free agents and players outside of the ESPN Top 300) that will automatically be dropped in the transaction at the end of the draft. Commissioners will advise what players fall under the undraftable title Draft pick trading will only be reflected on the Big Board, not on the ESPN Draft Application Once a pick from the trade is made, neither side can retract from the transaction Owners will make selections for the opposing owner in the ESPN Draft Application due to Section 5.b.ii. These selections will be fully decided by the owner who owns the draft pick following the transaction If a pick is chosen incorrectly, the Co-Commissioners will pause the draft and undo the pick All trades and transactions must be agreed upon within the allotted draft selection time frame Once a transaction is agreed upon, the commissioner will pause the draft and a new selection time frame equal to the regular time frame will begin for the new owner to make their selection Following the draft, the Co-Commissioners will automatically put the trades through that were agreed upon during the Draft. No owner action is needed Trades can only include draft picks from the current season Trades are processed immediately without Co-Commissioner approval. Co-Commissioners reserve the right to reverse any trades that show or suggest collusion Waivers A Free Agent Auction Budget system will be used (FAAB) for players on the waiver wire The budget for each team is $200 The minimum bid for a waiver wire add is $1 Open waivers will be permitted during select times where players can be picked up for no minimum bid Claims during open waivers will be done manually by the Co-Commissioners or anyone given permission by the Co-Commissioners. An owner must text the "Waivers - THE League" text thread detailing the player(s) they wish to add and drop in the transaction If an owner would like to start a player they are adding, they must also state that they wish to start the player in the "Waivers - THE League" text thread. In the event the player is not added until after their game kicks off because the Co-Commissioners are unable to process the claim, they will retroactively be started Co-Commissioners are also required to text this thread before picking players up for their team Co-Commissioners will reply or "like" the text when the transaction is complete The "Waivers - THE League" text thread is reserved for transactions only. All other texts should be directed to the "THE League" text thread. This is so Co-Commissioners don't have to sort through texts to find claims If Co-Commissioners are unable to determine who's waiver claim was first via text, the waiver order in ESPN will be used as a tiebreaker Open waiver times are as follows: 9:00 AM EST to Kickoff of the final NFL game on any day with an NFL game All waiver claims texted prior to 9:00 AM EST on Open Waiver days are invalid The postseason will consist of three factions Playoffs The top 6 teams in the League after the Regular Season will make playoffs Division winners receive automatic bids, the 1 or 2 seed, and a bye. The 1 seed is determined first by record, then Points For between the two Division winners Seeds 3-6 are Wild Card spots and are determined first by record, then Points For After the Preliminary round, the 1 seed will play the lowest remaining seed in the Playoff bracket and the 2 seed will play the highest remaining seed in the Playoff bracket Teams who do not advance from the Preliminary will continue to play each other in the Playoffs-Consolation bracket These teams will play each other for the last 2 weeks of the postseason. Outside challenges or bets are encouraged to keep teams playing Teams who lose in the Semi-Final round of the Playoffs will play in the 3rd Place Game Consolation Series The 7th and 8th teams in the League after the Regular Season will play in the Consolation Series These two teams will play each other all 3 weeks of the postseason.
